摘要:This paper provides a unique perspective, as it is a collaborative effort between engineering, business, and information science and technology faculty to assess the gap between perceived professi onalism in students and potential employers. The goal of the study is to outline similarities and differences to enable the faculty in various areas of study to better prepare students, through curriculum efforts, mentoring, and advising, for future emplo yment. The study identified differences in ways students look for potential employers and how employe rs recruit potential new hires. Further, the study outlined similarities and differences in how engineering, computing, and business students perceive pr ofessionalism behaviors differently than hiring employers.
