其他摘要:Douglas-fir represents the most productive tree species in the Central European forestry. Despite its well known high production potential, the effects of this neophyte tree species on the other components of forest ecosystems were studied less frequently. The presented paper compares herb layer in stands of Douglas-fir with stands of another tree species such as beech - Fagus sylvatica, sessile oak - Quercus petraea, and Norway spruce - Picea abies located in the same site conditions. The plant communities were analyzed in 66 plots with fully developed herb layer; the dominant woody species were always older than 60 years. Douglas-fir shows statistically significant effect on species composition of the plant community. However, this change did not affect result of numerical classification conspicuously. Such influence was connected with processes of ruderalization. Spontaneous regeneration of Douglas-fir was observed frequently. Its non-controlled dispersal can be viewed as potentially dangerous at landscape level. Broader research of the environmental effects of the Douglas-fir and its potential hazards is needed.
