摘要：This article aims to discuss what the parameters for the development of an innovative city, through planning and sustainable development traced from four themes: economic, political, environmental and social. Thinking the future is the only way to develop a social equality, fighting poverty and rescuing human values. Innovating means do differently and break with old paradigms, bringing prospects of future, technology and management. For this, we performed a literature review, and the introduced some practical examples. This way, there is shown the necessity of an appropriate strategy for the development of cities.
