摘要:Why has international migration statistics had short improvements during the last century? Why are they partially worsening? The text analyzes the main international reports on quality of international flux and tests the more relevant hypothesis about this intriguing anomaly in the landscape of Official Statistics. A detailed review is made about migration flux inside European Union and the situation of Spain in this field. The paper presents a deep review of the best initiatives and practices for improving the knowledge of human flux associated to globalization and the relevance of accurate statistics for any democratic debate about migration trends and migration policies.
