  • 摘要:The olive mille waste water is an environmental problem fo r olive oil producing countries of as Morocco. OMWW is rich in polyphenols, which are characterized by the anti-microbial power. The aim of our study was to evaluate the antimicrobial activity of OMWW and determine the MIC and MBC. We found that the OMWW are highly effective against Gram-positive with a diameter between (15 and 23) mm. The maximum zone of inhibition was observed in S. aureus ATCC25923 (23mm), while the minimum inhibition zone was observed in Escherichia coli ATCC 25921 (15mm). Our results showed that the OMWW inhibits most of the tested organisms which do not exhibit the same sensitivity, E.coli and S.aureus showed a higher sensitivity with an inhibitory concentration of (0,125mg/ml) compared to others strains tested: Acinetobacter sp, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, whose growth was inhibited at (0, 25 mg/ml). In other hand, the bactericidal effect of OMWW was (0.25mg/ml) in K.pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa and Acinetobacter sp, (0.5 mg/ml) for E.coli and Enterobacter cloacae (Gram negative); and S.aureus (Gram positive).
