  • 摘要:This study sought to analyze the anthropometric characteristics and the physiological demands of the football referees in a match, in order to establish a relationship with the distance traveled, the number of interventions by the referees in the match and the level of performance achieved during the battery of tests of FIFA. To do so, 12 professional referees from Paranaense Football Federation were evaluated, all male, with an average age of 35.5  6.7 years and body mass of 76.8  6.7 kg, in games of the four-team Paranaense tournament series. The distance traveled by the referees was determined using a graphical representation curb. Heart rate was measured through a display of heart rate. The body temperature was obtained through a digital thermometer. Blood pressure was measured using a stethoscope and sphygmomanometer analog. The physical evaluation was done following the prescribed battery of tests made by FIFA. The average distance traveled by the referees in the match was 10.718  890 m. The average heart rate during the game was 156.5  13.2 bpm. There was no statistically significant difference when comparing the body temperature, the systolic and diastolic blood pressure measured at the beginning and the end of the match (p> 0.05). The lack of correlation between mainly the sum of the distances covered in the match and the results obtained during the physical tests of FIFA demonstrates the low specificity of these tests to assess the physical capabilities used by the referees during the match. Key words: Referee, Football, Physical Tests.
