摘要：Mental Arithmetic is a method of teaching mathematics to children by using the tool abacus. With human abacus tool can calculate quickly. So some say that the abacus is the first calculator made by man. Grounded in the above, this study will make a program teaching tool (Computer Assisted Instruction) multimedia -based mental arithmetic. Through this teaching tool is expected to facilitate the child in learning about how to count while playing in addition of course to introduce the computer early. In the development of this software authors make observations and analysis for the system that is built according to user needs. In the course of the work, the author uses Adobe Flash CS3 as a game maker application, Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw X4 as editing images for the background and completeness images in Applications
