标题：O artista moderno: entre intelectual engajado e novo mediador da transcendência

摘要：Enfocando a conjuntura das décadas precedentes, e imediatamente posteriores à Grande Guerra, pretendo neste artigo refletir sobre a nova situação à qual se elevaram os intelectuais e artistas em geral na conjuntura da Terceira República Francesa. Para isto, utilizarei o romance proustiano intitulado A la recherche du temps perdu1, publicado originalmente entre 1913 e 1927, bem como a recepção crítica da época. A utilização do ciclo romanesco de Marcel Proust (1871-1922) se justifica por ele se configurar como meta obra que discute o fazer literário na época, e também porque este romance se constituiu como grande cânone literário modernista.
其他摘要：Focusing on the situation of the preceding decades and those immediately after World War I, current analysis deals with the new conditions in which scholars and artists in general found themselves within the Third French Republic. Proust´s novel A la recherche du temps perdu, published between 1913 and 1927, and its critical reception at that time are investigated. The employment of the novel cycle by Marcel Proust (1871-1922) is justified since it configures as a target that discusses the literary work of the period and because it is one of the most important works in the Modernist canon.
