Introduction: During recent 30 years and particularly after establishment of primary health care network in 1984, a noticeable reduction in burden of communicable diseases has been shown which was mainly resulted by conducting EPI activities for vaccine preventable diseases, establishment and improvement of surveillance systems and environmental health and water and food sanitation. By conducting surveillance and treatment activities and proper follow-up of patient and also improvement of preventive measures via health education, immunization and water and food sanitation activities, there have been fundamental reduction in prevalence of many communicable diseases…..
