摘要：Childhood may be viewed as a concept that was created as a result of social infiuences. "Ancient Man" recognized that a child was not an adult, although such understanding failed to modify his/her behavior towards children. During the Middle Ages, infanticide was practiced and the concept of Childhood was non-existent — comprising the main thesis of Ariès. For Ghiraldelli Jr., Childhood is a modern concept, and post-modernism does not need this notion. We are dose to this approach. Childhood was a concept created by Educationalists such as Rousseau, and continued by Psychologists (Freud or Piaget) through studies in which the child was viewed as a developing human being. In turn, the claim that children are "little adults" was no longer discussed. At present, with the concepts of "Globalization", a political definition of Childhood may be found. Poor countries however are not included in this new framework, as there are only "workers". Therefore, the idea that Childhood constitutes a happy moment in a person's life is still distant; existing even "children-soldiers". Ali countries are responsible for this situation, including the infanticide of young girls in China.
