Our theoretical-methodological construction touches on social history, which helps us to understand that social relations constitute the foundation of artistic expression. While considering art as a constituent part of the totality of human actions – the sensitive, ethical and cognitive aspects – we observed that the analysis of artistic images makes people look more attentively at representations and their meanings. As a source of analysis in History and History of Education, images can sensitize and enable awareness in people.
