  • 摘要:The influence of detergent on physiological responses by herbivorous grass carp C. idella, such as faeces production, assimilation, nitrogen excretion and oxygen consumption was evaluated by chronic bioassay. The rates were expressed as energy values and integrated in the energy balanced equation in order to estimate the scope for growth by the juvenile grass carp. Sublethal concentrations of detergent were used (3, 5, 8 and 12 mg/L) which were selected in a previous 96 houn bioassay. Results showed that even though the fishes assimilates more food as detergent concentrations increased the assimilation rates were 30% lower than control fishes. With respect to the specirnens scope for growth it was observed a similar tendency, that is, the fishes exposed to greater detergent concentrations exhibited lesser growth rates (30%) than control group, even though their growth efficiency was slightly higher (16%) than control fishes.
