摘要:Various services are transmitted in the power communication networks, which require differentiated QoS guarantee. Packet transport network (PTN) technology can meet the requirements. In this paper, QoS mechanisms of PTN are investigated and different QoS deployment strategies are proposed. To verify performance, DiffServ module of network simulator (NS-2) is employed. Simulations check the influence of RED parameter setting, scheduling mode and dropping mode. Results show that (1) Influence of RED parameter setting is not significant; (2) Scheduling mode affects the performance greatly, and round robin and priority scheduling are recommended; (3) Dropping mode influences the packet loss rates of different traffic classes but does not change the overall performance.
