摘要：
A paternidade na adolescência promove mudanças e readaptações de ordem psicossocial, estabelecendo novos papéis para a organização de vida do adolescente. Em nossa sociedade, esse fenômeno tem sido pouco difundido cientificamente. Entendendo que o fomento de pesquisas consolida a divulgação do saber, questionou-se: como as pesquisas científicas têm contribuído para a geração de conhecimentos sobre a paternidade adolescente? OBJETIVOS: Identificar a produção científica referente à paternidade adolescente, destacar as áreas do conhecimento que têm pesquisado acerca dessa temática. METODOLOGIA: Estudo descritivo, abordagem quantitativa, através de levantamento dos resumos publicados de 1987 a 2008 no banco de teses da CAPES*. RESULTADOS: Identificamos a presença de 22 estudos, sendo 17 dissertações e 5 teses que utilizaram a abordagem qualitativa. A área do conhecimento que mais tem desenvolvido pesquisas sobre a paternidade adolescente é a área das ciências humanas. Concluiu-se a escassez da produção acerca da temática em todas as áreas do saber.

The paternity in the adolescence promotes changes and re-adaptations of psycho-social order, establishing new roles for the organization of the adolescent´s life. In our society, this phenomenon has been little spread scientifically. Understanding that the foment of researches consolidate the knowledge divulgation, it asked: how the scientific researches have contributed for the generation of knowledge about the adolescent paternity? OBJECTIVES: to identify the scientific production referent to the adolescent paternity, to emphasize the areas of knowledge that have researched about this thematic. METHODOLOGY: Descriptive study, quantitative approach, through the raising of abstracts published from 1987 to 2008 in the bank of thesis of the CAPES. RESULTS: We identify the presence of 22 studies, being 17 dissertations and 05 theses that utilized the quantitative approach. The area of knowledge that has developed most researches about the adolescent paternity is the Human Sciences area. It concluded the scarcity of the production about the thematic in all the knowledge areas.
