摘要：Resumo O objetivo do trabalho é analisar a atuação das lideranças científicas na produção do conhecimento e na definição da política de ciência e tecnologia. Depois de verificados os líderes dos grupos de pesquisa no Diretório dos Grupos de Pesquisa do CNPq, nas áreas de Agronomia, Genética e Sociologia, recorreu-se à Plataforma Lattes, a fim de sistematizar em tabelas os dados referentes à formação, instituição, produção científica, participação em comitês assessores ou em sociedades científicas. Também foram constatadas as fontes de financiamento de suas pesquisas. A definição da amostra de pesquisadores a serem entrevistados levou em conta esses indicadores e ainda procurou contemplar diversidade regional, institucional e proporcionalidade de gêneros. Foram realizadas quarenta entrevistas sobre as principais práticas acadêmicas e políticas desses líderes. Os resultados levam à discussão de alguns conceitos como de campo científico em Bourdieu e de condições sóciocognitivas do modelo misto de produção do conhecimento. Abstract The purpose of this work is to analyze the performance of the scientific leadershisps in the production of knowledge and in the definition of the policy of science and technology. After having identified the heads of the research groups in the areas of Agronomy, Genetics, and Sociology on the Directory of the Research Groups of the CNPq, we used the Lattes Platform in order to organize in tables the data that refer to the formation, institution, scientific production, participation in advisory committees or in scientific societies. The sources of funding of their researches were also checked. The definition of the sample of researchers to be interviewed took into account those indicators and tried to contemplate the regional and institutional diversity, as well as the proportion related to gender. Forty interviews on the main academic and political practices of those leaders were carried out. The results lead to the discussion of a few concepts such as the Bourdieu’s scientific field, and that of the sociocognitive conditions of the mixed mode of production of knowledge.
