The painting is not what reproduces the subject correctly, compared with the photograph, but it gives us a special beauty. In this paper, the techniques to express flesh color of some famous painters like Renoir and Vermeer were analyzed. Colors used to express skin color in the paintings are distributed in a wide range of the color space, while those used in photographs are distributed in a small one. The images applied the color distribution of the painting, keeping direction of the color distribution of the photograph obtained better mark in the subjective evaluation.
