When an exposed photographic glass plate is immersed in a gold (I) thiocyanate complex solution for several hours, gold particles grow on a latent image speck and we get a image with purplish red unicolor image due to plasmon absorption of the particles. After calcining it at 480°C, gelatin layer is burned off and gold layer is left behind on the plate. The image composed of gold layer with purplish blue unicolor by transmitted light and with golden gloss by reflected light was observed.
