In our previous paper, we reported that the reflectance spectra of human skin can be represented approximately 99.5% by using three principal components. This analysis, however, is based on the average value of the reflectance spectra on large area of skin since the reflectance was measured by using spectroradiometer or spectrophotometer. The principal components of reflectance spectra have not been analyzed in a small skin area which can be taken by digital camera. In this paper, we estimate and analyze the reflectance spectra of human skin in small area taken by multi-band imaging system.
