A spectrometric Cathodoluminescence (CL) detection, recording and real-time full-color display system is constructed using 32-channel photoelectron multiplier. The spectrometric data of each pixel in CL micrograph is stored in the computer after 12-bit AD conversion, and the data is displayed during the microscopic observation for easy and rapid grasp of the specimen properties. A special data structure for rapid storage and accessing to realize real-time CL image display must be taken into account because of the data size of CL micrograph. The stored spectra are processed to enhance the difference in wave shape and displayed for the accurate recognition of the specimen structures.
