摘要：
The author investigated the influnces of coupling between heaving and pitching, caused by the asymmetry of a ship form and the forward speed, on the ship motions and the midship bending moments. It was found that these coupling effects shoud not be neglected in theoretical calculation of the ship motions and the midship bending moments among regular head waves.
