  • 摘要:Adsorption phenomena of photosensitive dyes from their aqueous solution to TiO2 powder were studied and compared with those to ZnO powder. Dyes studied were basic and sensitizing ones for AgBr (9-methylthiacarbocyanine and 2, 2'-quinocyanine), basic and desensitizing ones (methylene blue and phenosafranine), and acidic ones (rose bengale, erythrosin and eosin). Basic dyes as well as acidic dyes were adsorbed by TiO2 powder, and the adsorbability of the latter was stronger than that of the former. On the other hand, basic dyes were scarecely adsorbed by ZnO powder. It has been suggested that these results are related to the fact that acidic dyes are good sensitizer for ZnO, whereas basic dyes are good sensitizer for Ti02.
