摘要:Objective: To analyze the effect of a training on the knowledge of pregnant couples in primary care about pediatric first aid. Methodology: This is an experience report from a before and after training with a single comparison group, which was carried out in the municipality of Batalha - AL. Data were tabulated and analyzed using the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 28, and McNemar's non-parametric test; an evaluative instrument was used and a doll was used for training. Results: McNemar's test showed that the training was significant in the questions about CPA identification (X²(1)= 5.143; p= 0.016), and in performing CPR in children under one year (X²(1)= 4.167; p= 0.031) and over one year (X²(1)= 4.167; p= 0.031), and on the attitude if you saw a child drowning (X²(1)= 4.167; p= 0.031. Conclusion: All objectives were achieved, showing that training in pediatric first aid in primary care is fundamental and promising. This study is of great contribution to the scientific community and to the population, as no other equal training was found to train pregnant couples in primary care.
