摘要:Outbreaks due to pandemics constitute a particular type of disruption, distinctively characterized by a long-term halt in production/supply/transportation, the ripple effect (disruption propagations), and a prominent amount of uncertainty in the supply chain. This paper presents the results obtained from a simulation learning that explores new research strains on the influence of Covid-19 on the global supply chain network of an e-commerce company. Firstly, pandemic outbreaks were studied as a unique type of supply chain disruption risk. Secondly, a simulation study using anyLogistix optimization software was performed to predict the pandemic impacts on the performance of the studied supply chain network. The significant insights from the simulation modelling are the opening and closing of facilities, lead-time, inventory stock levels contribute to a considerable level in the supply chain's performance. Finally, recovery strategies were proposed that can be utilized by both researchers and organizations in the advancement of the decision support systems guiding supply chains amidst the pandemic.
