摘要:Mathematics learning is currently directed at linking mathematical concepts with culture and students' daily activities, commonly referred to as ethnomathematics. Teachers must have a broad understanding to explain the concepts contained in culture, especially in songket Pandai Sikek in learning mathematics. This study explores the mathematical concepts contained in songket Pandai Sikek, a traditional Minangkabau songket. This research is explorative by utilizing the pattern and process of making songket. Data was obtained from documentation and interviews. The results showed that the songket Pandai Sikek has the concept of a flat shape such as a rhombus and isosceles triangle. In addition, the concepts of similarity, congruence, symmetry, comparison, measuring, and counting were also found. These mathematical concepts and activities become the starting point in making the design of mathematics learning based on culture and daily activities.
