摘要：The author of this article looks at the subject of forced mediation in divorce proceedings. The author has discussed in detail the concept of mediation in detail and the existing legal framework After discussing the concept of mediation and the existing legal framework that governs it in India, the author discusses the issues that mediation faces in India. The author looks upon how the mediation can help the divorce proceedings to end in way by imposing mandatory mediation. The author has also examined the advantages of mandatory mediation and the criticism that has been done of the mandate. The author emphasizes the mediation process, which is a relatively easy and time-saving technique, in order to concentrate on the most appropriate model for introducing compulsory mediation in India in divorce cases. The mediation agreement's enforcement has been questioned. Different jurisprudence has also looked at the judicial perspective on mediation in family disputes and divorce proceedings.
