标题：DENTAL IMPLANTS IN AESTHETIC REGION WITH OR WITHOUT GRAFTING - A RETROSPECTIVE STUDY

摘要：The aim of the study is to assess the necessity of grafting in placing dental implants in the aesthetic region. Materials and methods: We reviewed the patients records and analysed data of 157 patients. Patients who have undergone implants in the upper and lower anterior teeth region are screened digitally, among these the patients with graft and without graft were filtered based on the Dias entry. The data is further tabulated using Microsoft Excel and analysed with SPSS. Results: Around 53.85% of the patients underwent grafting in the anterior region. Bone grafting is majorly done in relation to the upper central incisors region (32.69%) followed by upper canines (22.44%). Conclusion: Within the limitations of the study it can be concluded that nearly half of the cases needed bone grafting in the aesthetic region during implant placement.
