摘要：In India women do not use their rights to consider themselves independent. The empirical study investigates Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability from the perspective of North Gujarat region. Gujarat ranks third among all the states in India in CSR activities. Further the study examines the effectiveness of CSR in the six districts of Gujarat i.e., Mehsana, Banaskantha, Patan, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar and Aravalli by practicing the social activity through CSR contribution. The objective of this study is to put more focus on gender equality and women empowerment by generating opportunities for enhancing their skills and making them independent. The data is collected from the government portal on a secondary level. The societies need to overcome the adversity and flourish in a fast changing world with the help of CSR. The paper emphasis upon the scenario of women in terms of literacy, opportunity, skill development and enhancing them overall.Also the contribution of top companies in different sectors are reflected in a demographic channel.
