摘要：Ceramic crowns are usually made entirely from porcelain or another type of ceramic. As with all materials, the crown sits over a filed-down tooth to restore its appearance, shape or structure .Ceramic crowns can closely mimic the appearance of real teeth. All-ceramic or all-porcelain dental crowns provide better natural color match than any other crown type and may be more suitable for people with metal allergies. Aim:The main aim is to evaluate knowledge and awareness of ceramic crown among dental students Materials and Methods: A survey was conducted among dental students about knowledge and awareness about aesthetics in dentistry. The sample size of this survey is a total of 100 people. It consists of a brief introduction regarding the purpose of the study, questions pertaining to demographic data and questions regarding research objectives. 10 questions were circulated to the participants in a google. The entered data were analysed using SPSS. Descriptive analysis was performed to calculate frequencies of categorical variables Results: The study was analysed using SPSS . 102 participants participated in this survey. 63.37% of the participants were female and remaining 36.63% of the participants were male . 92.08% of the participants were found to be aware of ceramic crowns and the remaining 7.92% of them were not aware Conclusion: It is important to know about the importance of ceramic crown for better treatment planning and aesthetics purposes. It is concluded that 72% of the population have knowledge and awareness about ceramic crowns.
