摘要:Knowing the misunderstandings and difficulties of translation has become one of the crucial parts ofthe language learning context. The achievement of translation not only requires a well-structured curriculum and competent teachers but also the students’ attitudes towards translation. Hence, this study is to investigate the misunderstandings and difficulties of translation of tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations among the students of the translation department at Amman Arab University. Also, to have an insight into the minds o towards the difficulties of translation of tourist e-text and signs. Participants of this study are 120 students at the translation department at Amman Arab University. 20 students from each level at the translation department have been considered. The participants are in the range age from 18 to 26 years. The data of the study were analyzed by using descriptive statistics in SPSS version 22.0, for analysis.It is to notice that Jordanian students of the Translation Department at Amman Arab University that there are misunderstandings and difficulties of translation of tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations. The statistical analysis shows that the Jordanian students showed a negative attitude towards the translation of tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations. It was also noticed that the students need much practice and help to have a faithful translation of tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations. Finally, it is hoped that the findings of this study may help in further improvement of the students’ ability to have a faithful translation of tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations. The negative attitudes of the students should be taken into consideration for more improvement of students’ ability to translate. Also, teachers can take notice of the result that students need more knowledge and practice involved in their activities in translating tourist e-text and signs in the attractive tourists’ locations.
