摘要：Introduction Root canal treatment is a treatment sequence for the infected pulp of a tooth which is intended to result in the elimination of infection and the protection of the decontaminated tooth from future microbial invasion. Materials and methods This is a cross sectional study conducted among dental students through a questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of 11 questions and was circulated among dental students with the help of an online survey link. Results According to the results obtained the majority of the population are aware that guttapercha is the standard filling material used in root canal treatment (63%). Conclusion From the data collected we can conclude that the present day dental students are very much aware about different root canal materials that are used in recent decades in clinical practice.
