摘要：Thepresentstudy analysed the FNACmaterialfrom 100 patients enrolled in DepartmentofPathology,Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research. Theoverallsensitivity1s94.44%,specificity100%,positivepredictivevalue100%,negativepredictivevalue98%anddiagnosticaccuracy98.5%. Outoftotalcases,95%werefemales. Peakincidenceofbenignlesionwasseenbetween31- 40yearsandmalignantlesionsbetween41-50years. Fibroadenomawasthecommonestbenignlesion. DuctalcarcinomaNOStypewas the most commontypeamongmalignantlesions(77.77%).
