摘要:AbstractDespite the pressing demand to achieve carbon neutrality both for developing countries and for developed countries across the globe, it is not clear in many cases what effective measures might be taken to achieve such macro-scale goal through actions of individual persons. In this work we use a case study in Tsinghua University to discuss the feasibility to achieve carbon neutrality on campus. By considering the CO2emission from the consumption of electricity, natural gas, and transportation, as well as the CO2absorption by plants, the numerical experiments show that by adopting photo-voltaic panels and increasing building-mounted plants, Tsinghua University can achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. We wish this work may bring insight for achieving carbon neutrality in other communities.
