摘要：This study examines the existence of the prosecution authority in Indonesia which is closely related to the principle of dominus litis. In accordance with the dominus litis principle, the determination and control of prosecution policy is only in one hand, namely the Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutors carry out investigations only in relation to specific crimes. The problem that will be in this research is how is the legal politics of the prosecutor's dominus litis in carrying out the prosecution's power and how is the independence of the prosecutor's office in carrying out the prosecution. The research method used is a normative research method with a statute approach and analyzed using content analysis.
