  • 摘要:AbstractThe article discusses basic features of a web application for the optimal proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller design for the double-integrator-plus-dead-time (DIPDT) system by the performance portrait method. It is the only optimization method whose main part, generating a performance portrait, is solved only once. Solving a new assignment then just requires selecting the best matching solution by browsing the database of relevant dimensionless solutions related to the solved task. For the identified process model parameters, it is then possible to derive controller optimal for the considered application. The article describes all theoretical aspects of the created web application, which aims to make available this often solved task of optimal setting of PID controllers for DIPDT system control to a wide community of users without requiring deeper knowledge in the field of optimization methods and optimal control of time-delayed systems.
