摘要:This article is a contribution in the discussion of what diaconia "is". The assertion is that diaconial research have to combine theology and established positions in the social sciences. Based on a project for undocumented migrants in Sweden, the author argues that one can interpret this project in the context of the citizenship discussion. But for diaconia one has to add religious perspectives. Compassionate citizenship might be a fruitful interpretation of the project and at the same time a contribution to the discussion of what diaconia is.
