摘要:Objective: To characterize the current profile of adolescent students from public schools, according to their demographic characteristics, sexual maturation, nutritional status descriptors, internet addiction, behavioral health and possible interactions between them. Method: Analytical cross-sectional study, conducted with a non-probabilistic sample involving 1460 schoolchildren. Data were collected on demographic characteristics, nutritional status (weight/height, height/age, weight/age and body mass index/age), internet addiction score (IAT) and depression, anxiety and stress scores. (DASS-21) individually and privately. Results: A total of 1460 adolescents participated in the study, 51.0% of which were female, with a median age of 12.92 years. Most participants were eutrophic and of adequate height for their age, however 29.5% were overweight/obese/severely obese. In the quality-of-life analysis, 53.2% of the participants showed some level of depression, 58.5% for some level of anxiety, and 21.7% reported some level of stress. For the internet addiction test the majority (63.2%) were classified as having a severe level of addiction. There were no significant associations. Conclusion: The adolescents in our study were classified as eutrophic and with adequate height for their age, even so, there is a worrying prevalence of excess weight and high prevalence of depression, anxiety, and internet addiction, and although we have not identified an association between these, we recommend further investigations into quality of life and excessive use of technologies.
