摘要：Objective: To describe the activities developed by the resident nurse in the care practices of the traumat-orthopedic patient in the surgical center aiming at the prevention of Pressure Injury (PPL). Methodology: This is a descriptive, qualitative study of the experience report type, whose place of experience was in a reference hospital in the west of Pará by a resident nurse in orthopedics and traumatology. Results: In the operating room, the nurse plays an extremely important role in ensuring patient safety, being responsible for preventing diseases that may interfere with the patient's clinical condition. Among these competences is to guarantee the physical integrity of the skin, in the appearance of PPL, especially in the surgical positioning. Final Considerations: From the experience in the surgical center, it was possible to perceive the need for professional training and knowledge of the surgical procedure.
