  • 摘要:This study aims to present a reflection on some of the main factors that influence the quality of work life of teachers. It is essential that the teacher has a good quality of life at work, this concerns, mainly, the mental health of this professional. This document was created based on a bibliographic review of a qualitative and systematic approach of articles published in the journals platform of the Higher Education Improvement Coordination - CAPES. The teaching activity has been constantly carried out in the midst of stressful psychosocial factors related both to the nature of the role of being a teacher and to the institutional context: such as demands from the “boss”, and social such as: violence; in which the teaching professional is inserted. Man needs work and this is often considered an important factor in increasing the quality of life. However, it is clear that work does not always fulfill this role, which can negatively influence the well-being of the human being, which in turn is disadvantaged by the illness process caused by several factors related to the context of work activity. Thus, the construction of the teacher's well-being necessarily passes through the reflection of his initial desire to be a teacher, and the reasons that led him to not have a good quality of life at work, that is, exercising his profession.
