摘要:Cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells in a certain part of the body, and pediatric neoplasms mainly affect the cells of the blood system and supporting tissues. There are some protocols for the treatment of these neoplasms; it is observed that the pediatric cancer patient needs to have chemotherapy as the main treatment to reverse the neoplasms. Due to the immunosuppression of the child resulting from the drugs, some opportunistic oral manifestations are observed, such as mucositis, xerostomia, candidiasis, herpes, aphthous lesions, gingivitis. The objective of this study was to review the scientific literature on oral manifestations resulting from anticancer treatment. The present study presents the oral health conditions, highlighting the main lesions that affect the oral cavity in these situations, through qualitative systematic research. It is concluded that in many cases there are common and severe oral lesions, which can be avoided and reversed with the help of the Dental Surgeon before and during treatment, which is early and multidisciplinary.
