摘要：The landscaping is one of the environmental and aesthetic instruments that can be used to demonstrate the importance of the functionality of the green in urban centers, no matter how small the available space, there’s always a possibility to integrating man into environment. Thefore, the objective of this coursework was to evaluate the knowledge of population about the relevance, benefits and maintenance of urban landscaping in public areas, southeast mesoregion of the state of Pará. For data collection was elaborate a questionnaire on Googleforms platform, which was shared on social media in general. There is a knowledge about the concept of landscaping and his relevant importance in public places, as well as his functionality in promoting the well-being of the environment and the human, It stands out that most of the area with landscaping in cities are degrading and don’t have any adequate maintenance of the government. Faced with the these results, more in-depth and detailed future studies are needed, dressing the real and particular state of landscaping areas of each town in the region.
