摘要:This study aimed to verify the perception of family farming women about the health/disease process and its relationship with the Social Determinants of Health. This is a quantitative research, with an exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional survey that had family farmers women as participants. The research was carried out in 2019 and 2020, in two municipalities (Chapecó and Quilombo) in the western region of Santa Catarina. The snowball sampling technique was used. Interviews were conducted based on the theoretical support of the Social Determinants of Health. Descriptive and analytical statistics were used to explore the data. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee for Research with Human Beings (CEP) under opinion number 3,659,810. The profile of women farmers was mostly white ethnicity, married, with one or two children, with income between two and four minimum wages and living on small properties. These, of which women farmers are part, have basic sanitation. The results show that the participants feel safe and satisfied with their living conditions and with the community they belong to. The social determinants of health are favorable to women farmers, however, they point to an older age of those who remain in rural areas, to a decrease in the number of children, due to weaknesses and historically unsurpassed health risks.
