摘要:For seed production to occur, a crop must have quality, that is, attributes that influence its ability to produce high-yielding plants. Among the attributes, a physiological quality directly reflected in obtaining vigorous and uniform seedlings. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the physiological quality of arugula seed lots for seedling formation. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, with four replications in a 2X2 factorial scheme (two cultivars and two lots). The following vigor tests were used to define the quality of the lots: Germination test, first count, IVG and accelerated aging. In order to verify the effects of initial seed quality levels on the formation of rocket seedlings, the following tests were applied: Seedling emergence, IVE, number of leaves, seedling aerial part, seedling root height, fresh mass and seedling dry mass and seedling vigor classification. Lot 1 was classified as high quality in both cultivars. Lot 2 had lower germination than lot 1 and was classified as medium vigor. There were no significant occurrences between lots and as cultivars in the formation of seedlings. There was an explanatory difference for the results of the variables seedling emergence and seedling emergence speed index. The use of vigorous seeds is necessary to ensure proper establishment of the seedling stand and seed lots with higher initial quality, perform better under field conditions.
