摘要:The analysis of Brazilian cultural diplomacy in the early years of the Military Dictatorship (1964-85) allows us to identify tensions on how the State should project its message in the international system. Despite its efforts, the Dictatorship has not been able to completely pacify these clashes or transform cultural diplomacy into mere propaganda for the regime. The occurrence of continuities and contradictions in the area suggests that cultural diplomacy is a disruptive, inertial and erratic field.
