摘要:The aim of this study was to check to what extent self-determined motivation predicts goal orientations in football players federated in Women's 1st Division. The sample consisted of 247 Spanish players aged between 18 and 35. The instruments used to collect the information were the Spanish versions of the Perception of Success Questionnaire and the Sport Motivation Scale. A descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis performed stepwise. The main results show that both extrinsic motivation and amotivation positively predict ego orientation, and intrinsic motivation positively predicts task orientation of the players. Hence, coach should encourage a sporting context where the players want to play sports in order to get positive experiences.
