  • 摘要:Higher order thinking skills (HOTS) is an important aspect in Malaysian education system. This article is based on a literature review conducted on studies related to assessments specifically on authentic assessments and higher order thinking skills. This article covers concepts and definitions of authentic assessments and higher order thinking skills. Authentic assessments are a form of alternative assessment. The methodology used for this literature review was adapted from the Systematic Guide to Literature Review by Okoli & Schabram. The results of this literature review shows that authentic assessments have potential to measure higher-order thinking skills among students.
