摘要：As is well known, police officers face various challenges and are exposed to danger while on duty. Police respond to various criminal activities as well as carry out duties to maintain security in the country. Therefore, their welfare needs to be taken care of to ensure that the public interest is also guaranteed. The main objective of this research is to identify the impact faced by policeman in addressing welfare issues. This study is a qualitative study that uses a case study approach through in-depth interviews. This study was conducted at the Terengganu Contingent Police Headquarters. This study involved in-depth interviews of 11 police officers as study respondents. The selection of the sample was done purposefully and the data obtained were analyzed thematically. The results of the study found that there are two main effects of welfare on a policeman, namely the effect on work commitment and the effect on the policeman himself.
