摘要:This study discusses the dynamics of family functioning in optimizing support for the child's recovery process after undergoing drug rehabilitation. The research location was in Banjarbaru, Landasan Ulin Sub-District. This study used a qualitative approach with case study methods and analysis using the Structural-Functional theory of Robert K. Merton. The results show that the external aspect of the family has a positive impact because they work together in maximizing post-rehabilitation recovery even though it does not directly impact the level of family functioning. While on the internal aspect, post-rehabilitation recovery is not optimal because both parents do not play an active role in both post-rehabilitation treatments nor maintain the family system's resilience. Therefore, it can be concluded that the balance of structure and function is the main component in maintaining the functioning of the family because the family environment is an essential factor in achieving and maintaining healing.
