标题：ATTITUDES TOWARDS PROBABILITY AND PROBABILITY TEACHING SCALE: AN ADAPTATION STUDY

摘要：Concept of probability is an important issue in school years. That’s why, teachers and the preservice teachers who are the teachers of future should learn and teach this concept effectively. From this point, determining the attitudes towards probability and probability teaching become necessary. In this study, a scale adaptation related to the attitudes towards probability and its teaching conducted for prospective elementary mathematics teachers was presented. For this purpose, quantitative research model was adopted as research method and data was collected from 265 prospective elementary mathematics teachers with different grade levels. After language translations of the scale items, necessary statistical analysis was conducted for adaptation process. At the end of the study, a seven-factor scale with 27 items was obtained. In addition to that, there were four items in all dimensions, as in the original scale, only three items in the behavioral component towards teaching probability dimension after the adaptation process.
