摘要:AbstractA variety of meta-heuristic optimization methods have recently been developed. Class Topper Optimization (CTO) is a new meta-heuristic optimization method to solve design related issues in mechanical devices for better manufacturing. Any mechanical system’s output is determined by how well the mechanical components are designed for manufacturing. The potency of the CTO based algorithm for designing certain mechanical systems, such as plate fin heat exchangers, is investigated in this piece of effort. In this research, the minimized area results acquired using the CTO method is compared to those achieved using other optimization strategies. Finally, the CTO algorithm outperforms compared to some existing meta-heuristic optimization algorithm for solving a mechanical issue.
