摘要：§1.1. The proto-cuneiform texts, which represent the earliest phases of writing in Mesopotamia, form one of the most poorly understood of any cuneiform corpus. Among the problems for scholars working on proto-cuneiform is the difficulty of devising testable hypotheses about sign meanings. In this endeavor, approaches which consider the full corpus may support more sound argumentation than those which consider signs in isolation.
